Eros-196166
Scoring system from 1961-66 in our timeline
By Akitaldo
The 1950s & 1960s saw the first F1 seasons, with three different but close scoring systems. And Gaia, Tartarus and Eros are the three first entities to emerge from Chaos in Greek mythology.
Gaia represents the 1950-59 period, and Tartarus represents the year 1960.
Eros is the universe where they use the scoring system from 1961-66: 9-6-4-3-2-1 for the first 6 drivers of each race. But there's a catch. At the end of the season, only just over half of your best race results are retained towards the World Championship points.
The 1961 season had 8 races. But only the best 5 race results of a driver mattered in the end. And 5 is just over 4 = 8/2.
For example, if a season has 21 races, then 21/2 = 10.5, and 11 is just over 10.5 - 50% of 21 races. So only a driver's best 11 race results matter in the end.
Points between parentheses are the final scores had they kept every race result. If you want to see what happens when they count every point in the end, you can check out the universe Euthenia. It has the same points system, but they count every race result there.
Eros' results are almost identical to Tartarus', except for 1981. Here are the new champions & results in this alternate timeline:
